Made for the community: adidas Runners Captains weigh in on the new collection
This year, we saw the return of the adidas Runners Fall-Winter 2024 collection, a continuation of the line launched in December 2023 allowing every member of the adidas Runners community, no matter their pace, to express themselves and represent the global family they play a key role in.
Introducing a fresh set of colourways, the collection offers new ways for runners to explore their individual style while continuing to celebrate everything that adidas Runners stands for with our Every Pace Has a Place at its core: community, empowerment, and inclusivity; allowing those who wear it to feel empowered, and to strive to be their best, on their own terms. In addition to the new colours introduced throughout the collection, we also saw the introduction of the adidas Runners Supernova; the first ever adidas Runners branded shoe.
In celebration of the latest collection, we asked some of our Captains & Coaches for their thoughts on their favourite pieces, as well as exploring what Every Pace Has a Place means to them:

What does the phase Every Pace Has a Place mean to you?

KJ Forde: This phrase is an anthem for the adidas Runners community, and to me it really highlights the importance of inclusivity and diversity in running. This sport is a gift for every person to enjoy.

Yuho Tanaka: I love this phrase.

Before I joined adidas Runners, running was something hard, stoic and sometimes painful for me. However, through AR, I met NEW runners. They enjoy running, not taking it too seriously. Of course, running to beat a personal best is excellent, I’m currently trying to break my own personal best by running 42K.

But sometimes I enjoy running with my friends while talking about a lot of things, on the other hand, sometimes I also enjoy running with a serious face alone. All of them are my pace.

Running should be free and comfortable for everyone.

Armando Ubeda: For me, the message is really strong, since running is a place for everyone and is a sport that everyone can do. The vibes and energy that we have within adidas Runners is great, everyone enjoying their passion that is running no matter what their pace, and how many races or marathons they’ve done.

Ceyda Çelikel: ‘Every Pace Has a Place’ means whether you are a very good runner or a beginner, we are in this field for a common purpose. It emphasizes that no matter how long you have been running or how good of a runner you are, we can share the same love and enjoy this activity equally.

Jamilé Ramírez: ‘Every Pace Has a Place’ means that we welcome runners of all abilities and speeds, regardless of where they are in their running journey. We offer something for everyone, including women-only spaces, performance workouts, and community and social workouts. This reflects our commitment to being an inclusive community that embraces everyone and ensures that no runner gets left behind.
How have you been styling the collection?

Yuho: When I lead the AR sessions, I wear the black long sleeve tee under the AR white tee! The Every Pace Has a Place graphics on the sleeves are cool, I like it.

Armando: I love to use the hoodie as my after-run clothing to be warmer in a cold or rainy day.I use the long sleeve as an everyday piece over running with it. The singlet is one of my favorites for the gym or an easy run with my community.

Ceyda: I chose to wear the collection pieces in a full look of the same color, using a different color for the socks or shoes to make my entire outfit stand out.

KJ: I like to pair this collection with lightweight shorts from the ADIZERO range, and a bold colourway shoe.

Jamilé: I love wearing my long-sleeve shirt as a layering piece. I adore bright colors, so I like to coordinate the vibrant AR logo on the shirt with brightly colored shorts to bring the whole look together.
What’s your favourite piece within the new adidas Runners collection?

Yuho: My favorite piece is the pink hoodie, it's good for everything from easy running to popping into cafe to have a coffee.

Armando: My favorite piece is the new hoodie with the blue logo, it’s super comfy since it’s warm but not so warm so you can use it every day in different weather.

Ceyda: I love the new collection! My favorite piece is the shorts, they’re neither too tight nor too loose, making me feel very comfortable.

KJ: The Fall-Winter 2024 collection is amazing, my favourite has to be the long sleeve running hoodie, not only is it perfect for those cold early morning runs and warm-ups, but it looks great worn casually.

Jamilé: I really like the variety of products in the Fall-Winter 2024 adidas Runners collection! My favorite piece is the tank. It’s lightweight, breathable, and easy to mix and match with anything.
We Ran to the Moon and Back!

Embracing the ethos of Every Pace Has a Place, and the brand new adidas Runners collection, we brought the community together by challenging them to run a combined total of 4,600,000KM, the equivalent of running to the moon and back 6 times!

Not only was this challenge completed, but surpassed the goal with a grand total of 8,233,552KM being ran - a showcase of the dedication and passion the community holds.

If you’d like to take part in our adidas Runners monthly challenges, join the community today via the adidas Running app.
